Introduction: why early pilots are decisive

In DeepTech, the crucial insights don’t emerge in the lab — they’re found in the field. Early pilot projects aren’t a “nice to have”, they’re a principle. They reveal whether an idea stands up, where the gaps are, and how a system behaves in reality.
That’s why working with the Wiesbaden Business School and Prof. Dr. Dennis Albert was a milestone for us.

The collaboration: research meets start-up mindset

In a joint series on innovation management, we worked with students in a real-world set-up:

• Students received access to Creativate AI Studio, mapping the journey from idea to MVP.

• Course content was enriched with AI-assisted tools — from automated market scans to data-driven decision scores.

• Results flowed straight into prototypes and MVPs presented at semester’s end.

What made it special: theory and practice fused. Research, technology and entrepreneurship interlocked — and students worked at the forefront of current technology.

Impact beyond the classroom

• Social value: concepts and user stories were opened to talent in Cameroon to develop prototypes.

• Practicality: instead of talking about AI, students saw how real decision models are built, tested and applied.

• Innovation through application: insights from the pilot sharpened our own system — especially cNode.

Why these pilots are indispensable

For a young start-up, such collaborations deliver double value:

• Early validation: see what works in real use — and what needs rework.

• Feedback loops: critical questions from teaching make the system iteratively better.

• Co-creation: our models grow with real users and real use cases, not in isolation.
